Colour palette installer

With this programm you can install RAL C1 DIGITAL colour palettes for your software.

Window 1: Start

Please insert the RAL C1 DIGITAL data medium and press „Start“ to begin the palette installer program.

Window 2: Licensing agreement and Copyright

The licensing agreement window can be confirmed after 10 seconds by pressing „I agree“.

Window 3: Selection of the program and the wanted palette

Here you can select the program and the output optimization for which you want to install colour palettes. A click on the application program shows the available output variants.

A double click on the application program opens the help window with further information about the usage of the colour palettes in the respective program. A double click on the output variant opens a pdf file containing the RAL colours of the respective variant

(Where applicable) Window: Palette directory

The list of the available colour palettes is continously expanded. As a registered RAL C1 DIGITAL user you can download new palettes from the suport page in the internet or have specifically customised palettes for your individual output situation created. New palettes are made available as so called "Palette-Updates".

Palette updates can only be installed after the activation of the full version of the software. Further information will be given when the palette directory has been selected in the window:

Window 4: (Standard-)target path

Based on the selected program version the program searches independently for the correct target path. This occurs due to a search for the standard-contents index provided by the producer and if applicable due to an evaluation of the entries in the windows-registry data bank.

If the selected program was not installed in the directory and no registry entries can be evaluated then the correct target path can not be found. At this point the target path is to be selected by hand. If so desired the presettings can also be changed or another subdirectory can be built (e.g. "RAL").

Window 5: Further necessary files

In some cases more files are needed aside from the colour palettes in order to use the RAL colours in the program. Thus it is necessary, for example, when using AutoCAD to install the material libraries (MLI files) as well as the TGA-materials, which then, as control data, enables the access to the RAL-materials in the form of locked palettes. ArchiCAD is another example of where an add-on is necessary, as without it access to the RAL files is not possible.

The only time the extra necessary files must be installed is during the first installation of the colour palettes for the program.

Window 6: Installation

Depending on the type and number of palettes to be installed and the hardware on which it is being installed the decoding- and copying to the machine can take varying amounds of time.

Window 7: Successful installation!

As soon as the installation process of the RAL colours has been successfully completed a window will appear with the base information, explaining for which program and in which directory the colours are now available in. Simply by clicking on „User Information“ the user help for the RAL-colour palettes appears in the program.

You will have the ability to install more palettes or to end the program.
