RAL colours in Bentley Microstation 2D

The RAL files permit fast access to all RAL colours. The result of the rendering is marked by precision, both in measurement and in colour exactness.

The adherence to this destination path is not necessary for the availability of the palettes in the program.

In this program variant CMYK palettes (art print, uncoated paper, newsprint) are defined in RGB.

Using RAL colours in Bentley Microstation 2D

1. RAL CLASSIC and RAL EFFECT in the wanted output optimized form are available in Microstation after the installation:
2. For the application you have to assign a CTB file to the active project in Bentley Microstation.
3. Open your CAD project.
4. Choose the menu item „Settings/Color Table“.
5. Select the device specific palette file by selecting „File/Open“ in the palette window.
6. You can exchange palette files later on to optimize the colour quality for another output system. The currently active colour palette is indicated in the status bar and can be ascertained with the command „File/GetInfo“ in the „ColorTable“ window.
7. Due to the conditions of the program it is not possible to display colour names in the palette. The position of each RAL colour is displayed in the PDF file „Begleitkarte Bentley Microstation (2D).pdf“ in the CD-ROM palette directory of the program.
